In 2020 while I was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas as a brand new private in the US Army, my family and I decided to take a trip to the San Antonio River Walk. Every time I use my timeshare, they always have some meeting the force on us to try to up sell us. Now we have been flagged for doing just that. and offered to send me a small gift for my inconvenience. Do not understand why this company is allowed to continue these practices. I have been an owner since December of 2018 and am very dissapointted with Wyndham. I bought mine resale but still attend presentations for the gifts as I know what/how to say no & get them off my back within an hour. She then spoke to me in a derogatory tone, claiming we was make a huge mistake by not upgrading. Not sure why any company wants to be so shady. Instead, they are charging me a very high interest on the money that was not paid. We have the same issues as ALL of the above complaints promises to assist in using points to rerent units to earn money to assist in paying maintenance fees, promises to buy back membership, promises, promises, promises ADD US TO SUIT. I agree you should investigate before you buy, but when you are told misleading information like you can use you points to pay maintenance fees if you dont use them, but they fail to mention that if you do the value of the points about 2 cents on the dollars. For the time share. They need to know that people wont put up with this. We are older when we were pressured into all this. It all came down to it would have had to been put in his name but I continued to say NO. I was advised at a Wyndham meeting that unless I bought more points I would be banned from using this resort. There are probably some places that have space available when you want it, but primarily, if you want to go someplace at a certain time, forget using your points. then we started getting 1000.00 a month bills and we went back to them and they wont fix it, it is hurting my credit because they say I am 500 days late owe them 8000.00 in back payments and like another 25,000 with never ending dues. Dont worry i will do the work and they will pay. I was told that Wyndham would help rent my resort week for me to offset the cost of paying for the conversion from weeks to points. Wyndham continues to make changes where you have to continue to rebuy property you already supposedly own. I want out. I questioned and questioned about maintenance fees because I had heard they can get high. My fianc and myself were intentionally misled by this company also!
